When will Swim Trackers start shipping?

Swim Tracker is currently available for pre-order with the first units shipping out before the end of September 2017.

When would my warranty start?

For customers who pre-order Swim Tracker, their 1 year warranty and 30 day guarantee both start on the day Swim Tracker ships out.

How does Swim Tracker work?

Swim Tracker's brains come from a combination of it's 9 axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), the same piece of tech that guides drones and rockets, along with intelligent algorithms designed around swimming movements. It interprets all your actions during your swim and passes that info along through Bluetooth to the Waterfi App which collects and clearly displays your swim stats.

Can I use Swim Tracker without an iOS device?

Swim Tracker requires the Waterfi App in order to be fully enjoyed, and currently the Waterfi App is exclusively available for iOS devices running version 7 and higher. (iPhone 5 and higher, iPod touch 5th Gen and later, iPad 4th Gen and later, iPad Air, and both iPad Mini models.) You can download the free Waterfi App here.

What stats does Swim Tracker record?

Swim Tracker will track your lap times, lap count, rest times, pace, calories, breaths, strokes, stroke type, total distance and total time swam with Swim Tracker.

What else does the Swim Tracker track?

The Swim Tracker will track your workout time, set times, pace, total distance and total time swam.

What size pools does Swim Tracker work best with?

Swim Tracker is currently set up to measure swims in 25 yard, 50 yard, 25 meter and 50 meter pools. As we gather feedback regarding what additional size pools swimmers are using our Swim Coaches can update the app with those pool sizes. To give feedback about a pool size or idea you'd like included send our Coaches a message at feedback@waterfi.com.

Can I swim whatever workout I want?

Absolutely. Any workout using freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly in a typical lap pool will be tracked for you to see later in the Waterfi App.

Are there any special care instructions?

The Swim Tracker is durably built with swimmers in mind! Take the same care you would with goggles, or a swim cap. Keep it in a ventilated area and rinse with fresh water after use.

How do I setup my Swim Tracker?

  1. Visit waterfi.com/setup and download the Waterfi App.
  2. Power on your Swim Tracker by pushing and holding the button for 2 seconds.
  3. Open the Waterfi App on your iOS device and follow the prompts.

How should I wear Swim Tracker?

The ideal placement for Swim Tracker is on the goggle strap, centered at the base of your head. If you're using goggles with two straps, place it on the lower strap.

What do the different lights on my Swim Tracker mean?

  • Green - Swim Tracker is on
  • Red - Swim Tracker has 1 hour of battery left
  • Blue - Swim Tracker is talking to the Waterfi App
  • Blinking - Swim Tracker is tracking a swim workout

How can I see my swim stats?

After swimming, be sure to sync Swim Tracker with the Waterfi App by tapping SYNC DEVICE in the "History" area of the app. After Swim Tracker has synced it's workout data, you can then tap SEE DETAILS on any of your workouts to see a more detailed report of how your swim went.

How do I charge my Swim Tracker?

Plug the included USB charging cord into the charging port on the bottom of Swim Tracker and plug into a wall charger or powered USB port of a computer. Swim Tracker takes 1 hour to fully charge.

How long does my Swim Tracker's battery last when fully charged?

Swim Tracker has a battery that will last up to 13 hours of swim time, and over a month of standby time per charge.

Are there any special care instructions?

The Swim Tracker is durably built with swimmers in mind! Take the same care you would with goggles, or a swim cap. Keep it in a ventilated area and rinse with fresh water after use.

Can I use my waterproof MP3 player with my Swim Tracker?

Sure! You can use Swim Tracker alongside any waterproof MP3 player you’d like. It will not affect the readings at all.

My Swim Tracker won’t charge.

If you are having difficulties charging the device please follow these instructions:

  • Make sure the charging cable is plugged all the way into the charging port.
  • Check that all ports are free of debris.
  • If your device is completely dead please allow 30 minutes for the charging light to come on.
  • If the device is still not charging try unplugging and replugging the charger cable back in.
  • Make sure that the charging cable is plugged into a powered USB, such as a running computer, or a wall outlet.
  • If your device light is green and fully charged and you unplug and plug it back in the light will show red. Please allow 2 minutes lag time for the device to re-recognize the charger and turn green again.

How do I restart a workout?

To restart your workout in the pool power your Swim Tracker all the way down and turn it back on. You can then resume tracking, though these remaining laps will show up as a separate workout.

Swim Tracker will not connect to the Waterfi App.

If your Swim Tracker will not connect to the Waterfi App:

  • Make sure your iOS device’s Bluetooth is enabled (Go to Settings Bluetooth Toggle On (button will turn green).
  • If your Bluetooth was already on, try restarting your Swim Tracker and reconnecting to the Waterfi App.

Swim Tracker is not recognizing my turns and lengths correctly.

Be sure to try the following to ensure Swim Tracker is setup for the most accurate readings:

  • Position Swim Tracker at the center of the base of your head when swimming and be sure the charging port is on the bottom.
  • Start tracking right before you start your first lap and end it after your last lap so Swim Tracker does not try to track too much dry land movement.

My workout data will not sync with the Waterfi app.

If you are having trouble syncing your workout data to your Waterfi App try the following:

  • Close down and restart your Waterfi App. To do this:
    1. Double click the home button so a list of your apps that are open appear.
    2. Swipe the Waterfi App window up to close out of it.
    3. Tap on the Waterfi App icon to reopen.
  • Restart your Swim Tracker device.
  • Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your iOS device.
  • Double check your Swim Tracker device is connected to the Waterfi App.
  • Try to sync your workouts from the Swim Tracker device again.
