How do I reset my Kindle Paperwhite?
Push and hold the power button for 20 seconds. At the 6 second mark the screen will go blank, continue to hold the button until you reach 20 seconds. Release the power button. The charge light will turn on for a few seconds, indicating a successful reset.
Is it normal for the power button to be so stiff?
The waterproofing process causes the power button to become more stiff than a normal Kindle. However, it should be just as responsive. Over time the button will loosen. If you wish to help it along, simply apply pressure by pushing the button down with both thumbs to loosen it up.
