The Waterproofed Fitbit Charge 2 will log your general activity in the pool as steps taken and calories burned. It was not designed to specifically count or track swimming laps or give a completely accurate reading of activity in the water.
The Waterproofed Fitbit Charge 2 tracks your heart rate, steps taken, distance traveled, active minutes, calories burned, and how long and how well you sleep. In addition to tracking your stats, the Charge 2 also features a clock and silent alarm, and GPS connectivity. *Please Note: To completely waterproof the Charge 2, the altimeter has been sealed which can result in an imprecise "floors climbed" measurement but will not affect other stats and readings.
We completely waterproof the inside of the Fitbit Charge 2 with our PlatinumX waterproofing technology so that it looks exactly like a normal Fitbit Charge 2, allowing you to engage in any activity without the unreliability of a nano coating process or inconvenience of a bulky case. Isn't the Fitbit Charge 2 already waterproof?
Fitbit states that their out of the box non-waterproofed Fitbit Charge 2 "is water resistant, this means the trackers can be submerged and will still work when removed from the water. However, this does not mean the trackers can withstand the force associated with swimming strokes, so we don't recommend swimming with the trackers." This is where we come in.
We at Waterfi completely waterproof the Fitbit Charge 2 on the inside through our PlatinumX Waterproofing Technology. With our waterproofing, the Fitbit Charge 2 can be fully submerged down to 30 feet underwater - so go ahead and swim, surf, dive, and sweat your heart out!
